The Wide Event Privacy Policy

The Wide Event "the Event" is organized by The Wide Company and provides an annual networking and learning experience for Shopify professionals "the Service" including merchants, app founders, agencies, and partners. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you register for or attend the Event.

Personal Information We Collect

When you register for the Event, we collect certain types of information including: your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and payment information (processed securely through Eventbrite).

We collect personal information directly from you during registration, or using the following technologies: "Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. We use the personal information we collect from you in order to provide the Service and to operate the Event. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you about the Event; Send you important updates and information; Optimize or improve our events; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Behavioural Advertising As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. When you register for the Event, we will maintain your registration information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
