Terms of Purchase

These Terms of Purchase constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and The Wide Company ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), concerning your purchase of tickets for The Wide Event. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Purchase.
TICKET PURCHASE
We accept payment through Eventbrite. You may be required to create an Eventbrite account to complete your purchase. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address and payment method, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
All ticket sales are final upon purchase, subject to the refund policy outlined below. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment. We also reserve the right to refuse any order placed.
TICKET PRICING
Ticket prices are displayed on our website and through Eventbrite at the time of purchase. Prices may change at any time without prior notice. All payments shall be processed in the currency displayed at checkout. Sales tax or VAT will be added to the price of purchases as required by applicable law.
REFUND POLICY
Key Point: You can request a full refund up until the event starts. No questions asked.
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is as follows:
- Full Refund: You are eligible for a full refund if you request it before the event starts.
- No Refund: Once the event has started, no refunds will be issued.
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
To request a refund:
- Send an email to mat@matdesousa.com
- Include your ticket order number or confirmation email
- Include the name used for registration
Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days and credited back to your original payment method.
TICKET TRANSFERS
If you cannot attend the event but know someone who can, you may transfer your ticket to another person. To transfer your ticket, contact us at mat@matdesousa.com with the details of the new attendee, including their full name and email address. Ticket transfers must be completed before the event starts.
EVENT CANCELLATION BY ORGANIZER
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel The Wide Event, all ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund within 10 business days. We will notify all registered attendees via email if the event is cancelled or postponed.
If the event is postponed to a new date, your ticket will automatically be valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund.
EVENT CHANGES
We reserve the right to modify the event schedule, speakers, venue, or other event details if necessary. Such changes do not entitle ticket holders to a refund unless the event is cancelled entirely. We will make reasonable efforts to notify attendees of significant changes.
TICKET VALIDITY
Your ticket is valid only for the specific event date and time indicated at purchase. Tickets are non-transferable to other event dates without prior written approval from us. You must present a valid ticket (digital or printed) and photo identification at the venue entrance.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR TICKET PURCHASE OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Travel expenses, accommodation costs, or other incidental expenses incurred in connection with the event
- Lost profits or business opportunities
- Personal injury or illness during the event (except where caused by our negligence)
- Loss or theft of personal belongings at the venue
- Any business decisions made based on information shared at the event
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Purchase are governed by and interpreted following the laws of France. If your habitual residence is in the EU, and you are a consumer, you additionally possess the protection provided to you by obligatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. The Wide Company and yourself both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pontoise, France.
